It takes a few lifetimes for a real jungle tree to grow strong and tall, making it’s wood a very desirable item on the market. That’s why most farmers cut down all the valuable jungle trees and sell them to the highest bidder. This way they have more money and more space to cultivate their crops.

But not Deepak. As a former wildlife warden, protecting the local jungle from poachers, he understands,better than any other man, the true importance of these relics of nature.

Located in the Western Gahts, Nagarahole Forest harbours the coffee farm Palthope Estate. This amazing piece of jungle doesn’t only produce amazing coffees, it is also a home for a huge variety of animals such as tigers, elephants, monkeys, buffalo’s and a crazy amount of reptiles and beautiful birds. All kept shaded and safe by the colourful rooftop they were living under for thousands of years.
