TASTE, GUESS & WIN
In light of Onan's 20th Anniversary we are organising a Tasting Competition where you get to experience a real cupping with us! This way we want to test your coffee tasting skills and discover who is the best coffee taster in Belgium... You don't need any experience beforehand: this competition is for every coffee lover! So, take the challenge and maybe you'll win a Moccamaster and one year of free coffee!
How does it work?
In this Cupping game you stand completely alone (apart from the supporters that you bring along to cheer you on of course!). And you do not need any experience beforehand!
What can you expect from this Tasting Competition?
1. Players will face multiple rounds, with each one eliminating participants until only the best remain standing.
2. In each round you will be presented with multiple sets of three cups. Two of these cups contain the exact same coffee but one cup contains a different coffee…
3. Taste the different coffees with your cupping spoon
4. It’s up to you to identify which of the three cups contains te different coffee as fast as you can!
5. When time’s up it’s revelation time: who chose the correct cups?
6. The person with most correct answers and best time wins!
LEARN ABOUT COFFEE & cupping
While you are tasting and evaluating all coffees so you can win our amazing price, we will be throwing lots of interesting coffee tidbits at you! What You’ll Learn:
- How to properly cup a coffee using a professional cupping spoon.
- Learn about the history of coffee.
- Where does coffee stand today (production, countries,…)
- How is coffee processed and how does this influence the flavour
- What makes a coffee ‘good’ and qualitative

FOR WHO?
Every coffee lover above 18 years, no experience required!
TIME
On Saturday November 9th, 2024 from 10 AM til 1 PM. Please come 15 minutes before starting time of the event, as we have a tight schedule and we really want to offer you the best experience possible!
LOCATION
Museumzaal (University halls, KULeuven): Naamsestraat 22, 3000 Leuven
LANGUAGES
DUTCH / ENGLISH : We will explain everything in English and Dutch !
AUDIENCE
Bring you friends, family, coach (?) to come and cheer you on during the game, the more the merrier! They do not have to subscribe; subscription is only for participants.
REFRESHMENTS
Of course, we provide delicious coffee, water and a small snack!
